Once again, digging a trench

We are getting close to the end of our stay up at Summit (well, 9 days but it is less than a week until the next flight periods starts and that is when outsiders will be allowed into camp, breaking our hard fought over calm and tranquility).

We are close to completing calibration work and so packing is very much in our future. We have plenty of time, so at least things will be well organized for whomever comes up at the start of next season. There is still snow to dig and boxes to move, so we will be well occupied.

The science techs (Sierra and Caleigh) take part in a Ice Sat traverse once a month (they follow a pre-set route of station and measure the snow accumulation off station). On their way back, they came to see us at Station 15 (our off station home). Always nice to show off our station to visitors, but it was strange to see other people out on the ice.

People seemed to like my rocket talk, and tonight Erin gave a science talk on Aerosols.

The team - they are all very small 😉
